Site perimeters
Driven posts or stands, depending on the surface and the term.
Temporary
Temporary fence is panels, stands or posts, and a date they come down. It is not a cheap version of a permanent privacy fence.
Temporary fence installation is a panel line for a construction edge, an event perimeter, or a yard that must be closed for a defined number of weeks. The related searches are fence rental and temporary fence company. Rental means the panels leave. Installation of panels that we later remove is the scope we will confirm in writing. If you need a national fleet contract we do not operate, we will say so rather than pretend the inventory is on a lot we do not have.
A permanent chain link or commercial fence is the right product when the line should still be there next year. Silt fence is not this product either. Silt fabric holds sediment. Temporary panels are about people and a site edge. That difference is on the specialty page.
The quote names the linear feet, the gates, the term, and who is responsible if a panel is damaged by a vehicle on the site. A rental rate with none of those is not comparable to another company’s number.

Scope
Driven posts or stands, depending on the surface and the term.
Deliveries still have to enter. A line with no opening is a problem you will create on day one.
The end date is part of the scope, not a favor you negotiate later.
Panels screen a site. They are not a stained wood fence for a backyard reveal.
Who pays when a truck hits a panel is written down.
If the need outlasts the project, price a real fence instead of renewing panels forever.
Compare
Choose with the calendar, not with the first photo.
| Need | Product | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Months around a build | Temporary panels | They are designed to come down. |
| Years around a yard | Permanent chain link or ornamental | Rental math gets worse than owning. |
| Sediment control | Silt fence | Different product, different purpose. |
| A weekend only | Ask; very short terms may not be worth mobilizing | We will say if the trip does not make sense. |

Process
Deliveries, the public sidewalk, and what must stay open.
Asphalt and a lawn are not the same base.
Start and removal. Extensions are a change, not a silence.
Wind and uneven grade are the usual failures.
We do not put another company’s name on panels, and we do not claim a fleet we do not run.
Holes or stands leave. The scope says what “clean” means.
Field notes
Someone will move them badly. Design the opening.
If you need ten years, buy a fence.
It will not do this job.
Unbraced panels become a sidewalk hazard. The install has to respect that.
How many panels, how they are supported, when they are picked up, and what a damaged panel costs. We answer those in the proposal when we take the work. We do not publish a daily rate on this page because access and term change it, and because a rate without removal is how rental quotes look cheap.
Many sites end with a commercial line where the temporary fence stood. We can quote that as a second phase. The temporary scope should not be written as if the posts were the permanent foundation unless they actually are, which panel stands are not.
Questions
We schedule installation and removal for a defined term when we can supply the panels. If the term or the volume needs a fleet we do not run, we will say so.
Panels are often chain link fabric in a frame. A permanent chain link fence is set on posts meant to stay.
Yes. A line without an opening is incomplete for a job site.
The term on the proposal. Open-ended “until we’re done” is how bills and sidewalks get messy.
That is specialty erosion control, not this page.
Length, gates, surface, and term, including removal.
